A sub-inspector at the Kozhikode city police station sustained minor stab injuries while trying to control a scuffle at a hotel in the city on Saturday (February 14).
The injured officer Shafi was admitted to a private hospital after the incident. A man, identified as Pramod, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Sources said the officer was assaulted while trying to control Pramod, who allegedly locked horns with a customer at the hotel.
