As part of the ongoing crackdown on drug peddlers, the anti-narcotics squad in Kozhikode district has collected details of other local drug enterprises allegedly linked to inter-state peddlers arrested in several recent cases. Police sources said the newly acquired evidence, including detailed call records and social media data, should help uncover hidden networks involved in the illegal synthetic drug trade.
Most of the newly identified suspects are believed to have direct links to around 10 individuals arrested in five major drug-trafficking cases over the past five months. The total amount of MDMA seized in these cases exceeds 4.5 kg, including a large haul of 2.8 kg, which was seized by the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Unit from Mukkom.
