The PDP leader filed a complaint against TG Mohandas’s comments
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) general secretary VM Aliyar on Monday filed a complaint with the state police chief and home minister seeking registration of a case against Hindutva ideologue TG Mohandas over allegedly defamatory remarks he made against those who participated in the recent student protests in Delhi at Jantar Mantar.
In his complaint, Mr. Aliyar accused Mr. Mohandas of inciting violence and disorder through his remarks that he “would have shot” the protesters at Jantar Mantar had he been in control. The complaint said the former head of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s state intellectual cell also defamed the protesters by saying that secular women participating in the protests “enjoy being gangraped”.
Leaders from various political platforms had earlier filed similar complaints against Mr. Mohandas’ comments through his YouTube channel on Sunday.
