The cancellation video of the recent train trip was concerned about the safety and responsibility of passengers aboard Indian railways. The clip, which is now spreading broadly on social media, reports that the pantry staff that attacked a passenger in the coach of the sleepers in the veval-jabalpur Somnath Express (Train Number 11463) after filed a complaint about food and water.
According to a user who shared a video on X (formerly Twitter), it was confronted shortly after the passenger reported a problem with prices through social media.
“The video is a train number 11463. Twitter has filed a complaint about exaggerating food and water, but @railways received its goons to defeat the passengers,” said Divya Gaurav Tripathi in post.
“@Ashwinivaishnaw completely destroyed her railway.
The railway responds, promises an action
When she responded to a viral video, @railways acknowledged the complaint and stated that the matter was handed over to the competent authorities, including DRM Jabalpur and WR DRM Rajkot.
“We are always available to help you. Please share your PNR number and mobile number via DM, or register your interest in Rail Madad or dialing 139,” she read the answer.
DRM Jabalpur also dealt with the problem in the subsequent statement and confirmed that the incident occurred on July 15, while the train passed through the Baroda division.
“We regret the inconvenience caused. The matter is taken seriously and the correspondence takes place with IRCTC to cancel the side pantry contract on this train,” the statement read.
Family formula?
Over the past few months, there have been several reports that passengers have been verbally abused or physically attacked after filing complaints against the pantry staff, especially above the price or quality of food. While the Indian railway and tourist company (IRCTC) has previously promised stricter supervision, such episodes continue to raise serious concerns about how complaints are handled on board.
