With the National Testing Agency (NTA) canceling the NEET-UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) 2026 exam held on May 3, 2026, amid allegations of paper leak, the Parents Association of Andhra Pradesh (PAAP) has requested to conduct a re-examination as soon as possible with u.
PAAP members demanded an immediate response from the government, NTA and the Union Ministry of Education. The hard work of students and parents should not be sacrificed to the games of the medical coaching mafia, they argued.
Speaking to The Hindu, PAAP President S. Narahari said, “Lakhs of students have studied hard day and night for years. Parents have risked their qualities, health and future. They have been brutally cheated and betrayed by the corporate coaching medical mafia. Comparing 100-150 questions in the ‘argument paper’ is not just a simple mafia – it is a malpractice of a medical institute.”
“We welcome the decision to completely cancel the NEET UG 2026 exam scheduled for May 3. However, this cancellation alone is not the solution to the problem. The CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) should investigate the corporate medical coaching mafia scam. We appeal to the Supreme Court to take suo motu into the matter and punish those responsible severely,” he added.
Mr. Narahari said, “Permanent preventive measures should be taken to prevent recurrence of such irregularities. Also, the government should bear the travel expenses of the students and exempt them from the examination fee so that there is no additional financial burden on the students.”
