The Palestinian problem is not the conflict between Muslims and Jews, as the Zionists have long tried to portray, but rather the humanitarian crisis and the matter of international law, said Abdullah M. Abu Shawesh, Ambassador of Palestine in India.
Addressing the ‘Gaza Solidarity Conference’ Organized by the Indian Union Muslim League (iuml) in Kochi on Thursday (September 25, 2025), Where He Was The Chief Guest, Mr. Shawesh Emphasized That The Issue is Not About Christianity, Judaism, Or Islam, But About the Occupation of Palestinian Land by Zionists. It reminded that India was among the first nations to recognize the state of Palestinum and that leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal did not consistently supported the Palestinian thing, Mr. Shawesh added that Indian solidarity with Palestinian stems from shared history.
He stressed that each individual has the potential to be a game converter and play a crucial role in the development of a Palestinian thing. “Our story is now known all over the world thanks to social media, which are still a powerful tool. Do not stop sharing and disclosing our struggle and suffering from our women,” Mr. Shawesh said.
“We, the Palestinian people, can never be charged with terrorism, even though the Zionists always try to call us,” he said. Mr. Shawesh, who was born and grew up in a refugee camp in Gaza, was based on personal experience, said he understood suffering and its main cause, which is Israeli occupation and ethnic cleaning.
During the inauguration of the meeting, the Indian EU Muslim League (iuml) State President Syed Sadikali Shihab Thanga lamented that the children in Gaza were starved and rejected the right childhood. He condemned genocide in Gaza and stated that he was violating the Geneva Conventions of Humanitarian Treatment during an armed conflict by focusing on civilians, including women and children. Mr. Thangal also criticized the current Indian government for leaving the Palestinian affairs, which was once a nationalist slogan closely associated with the Indian Freedom Movement.
He chaired the National Secretary of IUML PK Kunhalikutty. Head journalist and author of the country Ramakrishnan delivered the main speech.
