The Palakkad Railway Division was ecstatic on Thursday, and during the 70s of the railway weekly celebrations it won the prestigious Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar.
West Coast Express (Train Number 22638) maintained in the depot mangalur was recognized as the best maintained train in the southern railway, while Palakkad Junction Railway gained the highest honors as the best maintained station in the region.
In addition to several performance shields, the division also packed the overall efficiency of the CEO, the highest honor granted any division in South Railway.

Divisional Railway Manager Madhukar Roat, who led the celebrations, said it was a moment of pride for the division. “Our division has culminated in the southern railway for efficiency, innovation and overall perfection,” said Mr. Roat.
Further awards received by the Palakkad Division were in functional domains such as engineering efficiency, mechanical efficiency, staff efficiency, workforce efficiency, working study efficiency, rail Madad and electricity savings.
According to Mr. Roat, West Coast Express, which will plant the best maintained train prices, emphasized the determination of the mangalur staff coaching of warehouses in adherence to strict maintenance standards, technical perfection and purity procedures.

Mr. Roat said that 16 stations in the Palakkad division were modernized as part of the Amrit Bharat scheme. While two stations started, several others were prepared for inauguration. Kannur would be the last one between 16, which started in March next year.
DRM attributed the consistent performance of the Palakkad Division to strategic planning, continuous monitoring and culture of responsibility and innovation that has penetrated all departments.
Other divisional railway managers S. Jayakrishnan and K. Anil Kumar accompanied Mr. Roat.
