The twenty -year -old man was arrested by the police Miyapur on Tuesday, August 19, in connection with the incident with a breathtaking chain, which was reported on July 4 in Enclava Nagarjuna.
The accused, he was identified as Brijesh Chowhan, a painter living in a work camp in Candeur40, Miyapur and a native of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The accused was transferred to his judicial custody.
Loki Reddy Balakumari’s victim walked with her son when the accused caught her golden mangalsuutra weighing about 26 grams and fled. Despite her attempt to chase him, the perpetrator managed to escape. Further investigations are underway.
