The Karnataka Federation Association officially withdrew its indefinite strike after the decision of the Karnatak government, clear waiting fees related to Anna Bhagy’s scheme.
The strike that started on Monday stopped the transport of rice and food throughout the state. The Association quoted non -payment of accounts for more than six months as a primary reason for protest.
On Tuesday, however, the state government issued an order for issuing Crore 244.1 GBP for accidental expenditures, including transport fees for the period from February to 2025. President of the Federation Gr Shanmugappa welcomed this step and announced the withdrawal and said the government responded positively to its requirements.
“The government promised us that all waiting fees would be settled within 48 hours. As a result, our members decided to renew traffic services with immediate effect,” said Mr. Shanmugappa.
He also added that the state also promised to return serious money (EMD) 26 Crore, paid by truck owners during the bid procedure within four days.
Previously, the Federation expressed frustration from non -payment for food transport services provided under the Anna Bhagya program since February.
Anna Bhagya, one of the flagship initiatives in the social security of Congress, offers free rice to eligible families and is a critical part of its five key warranty schemes announced on arrival in 2023.
