India holds its culture expensive and for most it is strictly avoided by demanding negoarian food or alcohol during the nine -day Propratri festival.
Just as she closed Chaitra Navratri, the news became a viral purely vegetarian woman who allegedly received not a vegetarian biryani instead of a vegetarian she had ordered.
Noida police arrested the owner of the restaurant, which was identified as Rahul Rajvanki, allegedly for injury to religious feelings.
Here’s what happened:
A woman named Chhaya Sharma of Greater Noida said in a viral video that she ordered a vegetarian biryii from “Lucknowi Kabab Paratha” through an application for food supply during the Navratri, but instead was administered not a vegetarian biryani.
She said she was a purely vegetarian and did not realize that Biryan contained meat until she had a few bites.
Chhaya Sharma in the video of the tear eyes said she was forced to eat Neketarian during the navratri “intentionally”.
“I am a purely vegetarian woman and during Navaratri (sic) they sent me this bottle of Biryani,” he says in a viral video in Hindi.
“That’s deliberate. Anyone did it intentionally. How they can send a non-VEG when I ordered Veg Biryani,” she said.
She also said that the restaurant closed moments after she had received the order, and that, despite repeated calls, no one dealt with her complaints.
Livemint could not independently verify the authenticity of its claims.
Restaurant owner arrested:
After the video became viral on social media, the Noida police arrested the owner of the restaurant from Central Noida on Monday.
“On Monday, a video on social media became viral, in which a woman claimed to order a vegetarian food from a restaurant, but instead was delivered not a vegetarian item,” the police said.
DCP (Central Noida) Shakti Mohan Avasty said the police arrested the restaurant on the basis of a complaint and sent a food sample for testing to the Indian Food Safety Office.
This is how Netizens reacted:
Netizens did not buy a female act and said that no “pure vegetarian” would order a place to serve both vegetables and non-VEG, especially during the proportion.
Social media users also questioned the arrest of the restaurant owner. “If you are a purely vegetarian, then it should not order from” Lucknowi Kabab Parantha “(sic),” the user said. “The restaurant owner is arrested within the section of the law?” asked another curious user.
“Ordering vegetable food in Navratri from kebab restaurant? Ironical !!! No veg biriyani has clearly visible pieces of chicken/mutton, which is clearly evident in her video.
“Being a purely vegetarian, as you ordered a food from a restaurant without vegetation … If the hotel serves and no Veg, it could be a human error. During the top hours it would become a mistake and not intention.
