With falling prices on the wholesale market, the marketing department purchases onions from farmers to 1,200 GBP per quinttal to provide some relief to farmers who brought their production to the Kurnool market.

Meanwhile, Markfed has received 10,411 quinters of onions from farmers in the last four years, and there will be no shares in the market yard at present. Officials on the market urged farmers to bring good onions by classifying and cleaning any humidity to get a good price.
