A 74 -year -old woman was found dead in suspicious circumstances in her residence on Railway Pipeline Road in RPC Layout, Vijayanagar, Monday.
The deceased was identified as Siddamma. She lived alone. Police officials said her earrings were missing and raised doubts about the nature of her death. While the initial investigation did not notice any foul, the absence of jewelry led to suspicion, police officials said. The police suspect that someone could have removed earrings after her demise.
A case of unnatural death was given at the Vijayanagar police station and there is another investigation to determine the exact cause of death.
