
A 85 -year -old man who suffered severe head injuries after he was allegedly attacked with a helmet for 26 years, died on Saturday evening in Kozhikode Cooperative Hospital in Kozhikode Cooperative Hospital. The deceased was identified as Ninadasan, the resident of the Eranipalam.
According to the police, the incident occurred near Eran skipalam 26. June after a road quarrel. Ninadasan, who lost his consciousness after an alleged attack, was in intensive medical care for more than three weeks before he succumbed to his injuries.
The police said that the accused, identified as TV Ajay, was arrested shortly after the incident and ceded in judicial custody. He was initially booked according to sections 126 (2) (unlawful restrictions), 115 (2) (voluntarily causing injury) and 118 (2) (voluntarily causing severe injuries with dangerous weapons) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS).
After Ninadasan’s death, Ajay will now face accusations according to Section 103 BNS (punishment for murder). The police will also submit a new report in a court that will strive to cancel the deposit.
“The older man was allegedly attacked after questioning Ajay’s rash,” said the police officer involved in the investigation. “We also gained shots from the CCTV attack, which was essential in identifying and arresting the accused.” The officer added that the accused who worked for a private travel company claimed that he reacted violently after Ninadasan allegedly used an offensive language.
