On Saturday, Congress expressed concern about the final list of voters in Bihar after the completion of a special intensive revision (Sir) of election roles, on Saturday stated several inconsistencies in the exercise and demanded the number of voters in some constituencies exceeded the victory of the last elections to the assembly.
In the paper on X, General Secretary of the Congress (Communication), Jairam Ramesh claimed that the Indian Election Commission (ECI) was a “puppet” in the hands of the ruling party and made Sir to provide the political advantage of the BJP and its allies.
Mr. Ramesh, who shares a picture of the news report that demanded irregularities, said the ES should act impartially and not as a “b-team” BJP.
The news report claimed that there were 247 people in one house in Jamui in Bihar and after Sir’s exercise there were several inconsistencies in the final election list.
“The Election Commission has organized the entire Sir drama at the BJP command. Even the requirements for the reforms of the Election Commission in the final Sir are showing them.
Even after the Sir process, numerous examples of inconsistencies in the final list suggest that ECI does not have any consideration for the clear orders of the Supreme Court, he claimed.
“ECI worked as a B-Team BJP, descending into complete shamelessness. The main election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar explains, as found 247 voters in a single household and why is one person 3-3 times at the same stand? Deleted voters’ names exceeds victory from the previous elections.
The current “lax functioning and politically biased politicians” ECI adversely affected Indian democracy and our international image, he added.
