In the middle of the reports on local level on Thursday, he repeated his current attitude to Sabarimal with the Secretary General G. Sukumaran Nair affected by organizations for her firm attitude to ensuring the religious beliefs of Hindu.
During the inauguration of Vijayadashami Nair meetings organized by the NSS Changanassery Taluk Union in Perunna, Mr. Nair, claimed that the organization would continue to maintain “the same distance” from all political parties. At the same time, he explained that the SAC had accepted the “right distance” in the question of Sabarimal.
“Those who are in power on Wednesday could act on Sabarimal, but did nothing,” he said. At the same time, he also pointed out that in the last few years the pilgrimage has been strictly performed in accordance with customs, rituals and traditions.
Mr. Nair remembered that as Minister Devaswom VN Vasavan approached the global meeting of devoted Ayyapp, the NSS has expanded the conditional support to a clear understanding that customs and rituals will be followed and that the event will remain apolitical. “But there have been attempts to politicize. The NSS has no connection with politics and maintains the same distance from all parties. In this context, we chose” the right distance “to ensure the protection of religious faith,” he explained.
Mr. Nair, who emerged in a part of the visual media for what he described as a Smear campaign, said that attacks focused on the management of the organization were eventually intended to weaken the organization itself. “Their intention was to discredit both the SAC and the community it represents, and therefore its general secretary was deliberately focused. It is suspicious that some individuals have hit media houses to start this attack,” he said.
He issued a strict warning against attempts to politically align the SAC and repeated that the organization would not be bound to any party. “We have never requested any government’s requirements, whether on Wednesday or state. If someone claims otherwise, let them prove them. The NSS will support any government that is acting in good faith and will be against any government involved,” added Pan.
