Noida International Airport will be officially launched on October 30, said Kinjarap Minister of Civil Aviation Ram Mohan Naid on Thursday.
“We are trying to lift the inauguration so that we can see it very soon. Right now, the date we decided is 30 October, when we will have an inauguration and see in 45 days that the operations are starting,” the Minister said during the event at Hindi airport in neighboring Ghaziabad, as mentioned in PTI.

In the X, Naida said, “He had encouraging encounters with delegation from the International Airport Noida, Jew. It was pleased that this iconic airport project, which became the largest Asian, is now approaching.
Where is the Jewish International Airport?
Greenfield Airport is located in the Jewish region of the Gautam Buddh Nagar district in Western Uttarprady, about 75 km from Delhi. The aim of the airport is to become the main center of aviation and logistics for the Delhi-NCR region.

This will be the second international airport in the capital city (NCR) after the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. It develops as a part of aerotropolis with supportive infrastructure such as logistics nodes, hospitality and retail.
When flight operations restore?
Flight operations from the upcoming airport are expected to start about 45 days after inauguration, after the necessary permits, security checks and final preparations.

The Minister also noted that it would be more important as a strategic airport focusing on freight operations than passenger flights. The airport is built by the Uttar Pradesh in the PPP model.
What is the PPP model?
The PPP model or the model of the public and private sector partnership is a joint organization between a government entity and a private company to finance, build and run projects such as infrastructure, transport, health care and education. Noida International Airport is developing under the PPP model, where UTTAR Pradesh has worked with Zurich Airport International AG for construction and operation.
What to expect in phase 1?
In its initial phase, noida International Airport will have the ability to handle 12 million passengers annually. The airport will work with a single track, although future expansion plans include five landing pathways, making it one of the largest airports in Asia.

The Minister of the Union Naida said, “… Airlines are very excited that they can work from the Jewish airport, they also feel that there is a huge potential in this area. So I see that at least 10 cities will be connected in the first phase of the Jewish airport.
On the front side of the connectivity, the airport will be associated with the main infrastructure corridors such as the Delhi motorway – Mumbai, Yamuna motorway, and finally the Delhi metro network, which ensures smooth access for passengers and costs.
