
A nine -year -old girl died in a strange accident that included a temporary swing she created, using a scarf -linked scarf in her residence in Chitkul Village in Pachamer.
The victim, identified as V. Sahasra, tied the scarf to the fan to use it on Sunday afternoon as a swing during the power failure. A few minutes later, energy was restored, causing the fan to rotate. The scarf tightened around the neck and strangled it.
Sahasra, daughter of V. Narsimhachari, was the second of three children. At the time of the incident, her parents were gone and visited their older son in their hostel in Jinnaram, so Sahasra and her six -year -old younger brother, Ganeshware at home.
When Ganeshwar noticed that his sister was fighting, she immediately called her grandmother living beside. Neighbors managed to turn off the fan and divorce the scarf, but until then the Sahasra has succumbed.
The body was sent to postmort and later handed over to the family for the final ceremonies on Monday. The incident left the community in shock and serves as a grim reminder of hidden dangers in seemingly innocent games.
