The NIA raided the house of the suspect in Jammu and Kashmir’s Srinagar

The National Investigation Agency on Tuesday (February 3, 2026) conducted searches at the residence of a suspect in the Rainawari area here as part of its probe into the terror ecosystem in the Kashmir Valley, officials said.

The searches were conducted at a residential building in Hazari Bazar locality in the early hours, they said.

The NIA on Monday (February 2, 2026) raided six locations in three Kashmir districts of Rafiabad, Sopore and Bomai in Baramulla district, Bandipora and Parimpora area of ​​Srinagar, officials said.

NIA officers raided the residential premises of former Jamaat-e-Islami leader Ghulam Ahmad Sheikh and former militant Iqbal Sheikh in Bomai.

Raids were also conducted at the residences of former government employees Mohammad Munwar Mir in Rafiabad and Farooq Ahmad Peer in Model Town, Sopore.

Other premises included the residence of retired teacher Mohammad Maqbool Mir in Bandipora town and the residence of Zahoor-ul-Raheem in Parimpora, officials said.
