Almost a year after the rebellion, the new Bangladesh administration issued new banknotes on Sunday and replaced the proposals representing its founding president, late Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, AFP reported.
According to the report, Bangladeshi notes represented the portrait of the excluded Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s deceased father Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who led the country to independence from Pakistan in 1971 until the soldiers murdered him and most of his family in the coup in 1975.
Details of newspaper notes:
“In the new series and design, notes will not contain any human portraits, but instead show natural landscapes and traditional monuments,” said Bangladesh bank spokesman Arif Hossain Khan AFP.
Hossain has provided more details and said that proposals in the Muslim nation are images of Hindu and Buddhist temples. New remarks also include art paintings by Late Painter Abedina, depicting the famine of Bengal during the British colonial government.
Another note will display the National Marty Memorial for those who died in the War of Independence against Pakistan.
Bangladeshi banka issued notes for three out of nine different denominations on Sunday.
“New notes will be released from the headquarters of the headquarters and later from other offices across the country,” he added.
“Other notes designations with new designs will be published in phases”.
Meanwhile, existing notes and coins in circulation will remain next to new notes.
Previous patterns:
Although it is not new in Bangladesh that the design has changed to reflect the changing policy. In early 1972 After Bangladesh changed its name from Eastern Pakistan, the initial notes that contained a map were issued.
Later, the design included Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who also led Hasina in power during her 15 years.
When the powerful Bangladeshi nationalist party (BNP) dominated in the country, the remarks had historical and archaeological places
The authorities banned Awami League in April to the court with Hasina and other leaders of the parties. Former Bangladeshi premiere, Sheikh Hasina is currently in exile in India and resisted the order to attend her court.
