Krishna Jayanti celebrated the Ministry of Kannada and Culture and the district Mysur administration on Saturday, where the speakers emphasized the imperatives of the transmission of cultural values to the offspring.
The CN Gowda, MLC, who started the program, emphasized the importance of the introduction of children into the essence of history, culture and Hindu religious texts. Selva Pillai Iyengar, head of the Anti -History and Archeology Department at the State University of Karnataka, said in his address, that Lord Krishna not only embodied all human emotions, but also crossed them, which made him a real “Jagadguru”.
Referring to Bhagavad Git, he stressed that the teachings of Lord Krishna were not only intended for Arjuna, but were intended for all humanity.
“Arjuna was just a pretext. Gita provides answers to every human struggle and shows us how to live – not only successfully but also peacefully,” he said.
The program was attended by MD Sudarshan, assistant director of Kannada and cultural department, former deputy mayor of Mysur City Corporation Pushpavalli and others.
