The state-of-the-art new Collectorate building will be inaugurated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in Karimnagar by the end of this month, said Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.

On Thursday, the minister inspected the new building of the Collectorate built in the neighborhood of the existing old Collectorate. He was accompanied by Collector Chitra Mishra.

Mr. Prabhakar said that the new Collectorate building will serve as the center of district administration for effective delivery of government services in a transparent and citizen-friendly manner.

He said the Chief Minister would unveil the ‘Telangana Thalli’ statue during the inauguration ceremony of the new Collectorate and launch various civic works in the city as well as development initiatives to improve infrastructure at the Satavahana University.

He added that the heliport in the area of ​​the new Collectorate will soon be put into operation.

The government has initiated a number of concrete steps to develop Karimnagar as a major educational and healthcare hub, he said, adding that the government medical college has been upgraded to a teaching hospital.
