New services outside the AC Limited-Stop Express Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) intervened a chord with passengers, especially along the metro corridor of the yellow line towards Attibel.
During just a month since its launch, expression buses recorded 3.72 passengers of the Lakh and generated Crore 1.09 GBP in income.
The services that started on 21 June by the Minister of Transport Ramaling Reddy were designed to reduce travel time by limiting the number of stops on high demand, semi -state routes. Five express routes are working between the bus stand Kevegowda and Banashankari TTMC on Attibele, Devanahalli, Harohall and Nelamangala.
According to BMTC data accessible by Hindu, the KECECEGOWDA BUS – Devanahalli revenue recorded 25.41 Lakh, which transferred 73,754 passengers over 44,280 km. The KECECEGOWDA – DONEAMAGALA route transferred 81,373 passengers and earned 22.22 GBP Lakh. The KEPEGOWDA – Attibele series followed closely with 22.08 GBP in income and 78,018 passengers, while Banashankari – Attibele brought 18.76 lakh with 71,423 passengers. The Banashankari – Harohalli route contributed 20.6 Lakhem by carrying 68 374 commuting.
Overall, these five routes were covered by more than 2.03 lakh km, which achieves an average earnings per kilometer (EPKM) 53.68 GBP. The KEPEGOWDA – Attibele route excelled in the highest EPKM for 57.06 GBP.
“These figures are a strong indication of growing demand for effective initial public transport at a long distance connecting Bengalur with its external zones. Express services are cost -effective and saving travel time for routine commuting and at the same time proves as a sustainable corporation income model.
Currently, BMTC operates 48 express bus plans with 348 day trips at 20 to 30 minutes intervals. BMTC also introduced express regular services monthly passage at the price of 1,500 GBP (except toll), now available digitally via Tummoc.
BMTC Express Bus Buses Bridge Yellow Line Gap
These buses have become a reliable option for people living or working along the yellow line corridor, especially in areas such as Attibele, Electronics City, Bommanahali, Central Silk Board and Bommasandra, where the metro connection was long delayed despite completing the work.
