Former Chancellor Vice -Rector from Bangalore University B. Thimman Gowd said that skills -based education has become the need for hours for today’s students and emphasized the need to provide professional and skills.
Prof. Gowda, who presented a lecture at the Foundation of Pavate Pavate Memorial Foundation on “Transformation in Higher Education” at Karnatak University, said the paradigm in education, from the traditional Gurukula system to technology education.
“We need an educational system that can deal with current challenges and act as a tool to transform lives. Our education system must now integrate job opportunities after graduation,” he said.
National Educational Policy introduced innovative and student curriculum curriculum that favored the future of students he said and emphasized the need to strengthen the ties in industry and academy, reform in academic staff, research, teaching and administration.
The Vice -Chairman of Karnatak University Prof Am Khan described DC Pavate as a visionary teacher and the current generation should learn about his contribution and inspire him.
He emphasized the need to revise the curriculum and pedagogy in accordance with the changing times, he said that teachers should constantly update their academic knowledge and seize students.
