Secretary General Ysrp Sajjala Ramakrishn Reddy accused the government of NDA in Andr Pradesh of resorting to revenge politics by the arrest of the party leaders in an “devised fraud with alcohol” without credible evidence.
Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy, who addressed the media outside the ACB Special Court, said that the arrest was without evidence.
“The main Minister of N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is accused of fraud for liqueur during his term in 2014-19, is now focusing on others,” he said.
“If Mr. Naida has this courage, he should seek a central investigation into his role in fraud,” said leader Ysrp.
When comparing the liqueur policy of YSRCP and earlier TDP governments, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said that former Main Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy had taken the alcohol trade from private players and got him into government fold to reduce and regulate prices. On the other hand, Mr. Naida put operations in private hands, giving more space for corruption, and favored people close to him by giving them disproportionate benefits, he claimed.
Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy guessed the “media propaganda” by inflating underwater numbers and rejected charges of siphon funds, foreign accounts, film production and gold purchases as unfounded production.
He also stated that long -term SIT investigation was a deliberate attempt to harass the management of YSRCP.
