Vizianagaram Zilla Parishad Chairman Majji Srinivasa Rao said on Tuesday (December 30, 2025) that 2025 was a bitter year for the people as the NDA government ignored both education and health. Addressing a media conference here, he said thousands of students were forced to pay college fees as the government failed to clear the fees of many engineering and college colleges in Vizianagaram and other districts. He said the move to privatize the Vizianagaram Government Medical College has shocked everyone in the district. Mr. Srinivasa Rao said that farmers were not able to get remunerative prices for paddy and other products because the government failed to take market interventions to stop the fall in prices in the open market.
