
The Indian Indian Confederation (CII) in cooperation with its Center for Excellence (Face) (Face) in the State organized a national conference on the state: “Support for sustainable growth and competitiveness in fishing and aquaculture”.
This event was joined by the creator of politicians, the leading industry and experts in the sector to map a plan for inclusive, sustainable and worldwide competitive growth in fishing. CII vice -chairman Andhra Pradesh S. Narendra Kumar emphasized the timeliness of the conference and its role in the association of stakeholders in the value chain to address key challenges.
The special main secretary, Fisheries, B. Rajsekhar, who began this conference, emphasized the importance of involvement and innovation of the private sector in the scaling of infrastructure and market ties.
The Rama Shankar Naik Commissioner emphasized the proactive approach of Andhra Pradesh in creating favorable political environments and infrastructure for long -term aquaculture growth. S. Kannappan, Head of the Executive Director of NFDB, combined the development of the fishing sector with the national vision of Viksit Bharat@2047 and urged the strategic harmonization of efforts.
P. Ravichandran, chairman of the CII working group for fishing, emphasized the essential role of industry in nutrition, employment and foreign exchange earnings. The industry manager shared knowledge of sectoral opportunities and restrictions. Mr. with Ganesh Kumar (ITC) pointed out the Indian deficiency of protein and the need for strong cooperation between the public and private sector.
Mr. Suresh Chitturi emphasized the involvement of community, innovation and infrastructure as the keys to achieve the target 2047 400 Lakh tons of fish production. Mr. Pankaj Mehta (Carrier Transicold) advocated responsible marine practices and used EEZS.
On this occasion, CII Face report on gaps in the field of infrastructure in fishing ports and landing centers that offer strategic solutions for modernizing valuable fishing chains was published.
