19-year-old Lhuan-Dre Pretorius earned his girls ODI when South Africa announced his white balls for the upcoming tour of Australia.
Pretorius, who became the youngest body that won 150 in the men’s test cricket, played 14 of the list and accumulated 577 runs with two centuries and three years.
Off-Spinner Prepen Subrayan received its first T20i challenge. He is one of the four frontline spinners in the group, next to George Linde, Senuran Muthusama and NQABA Peter.
Dewald Brevis, which was included in the ODI team for the 2023 home series against Australia, made his debut.
Aiden Markram and Temba Bavum after a break after a break after the South African triumph at the World Championship in South Africa will return to Captain Proteas.

“Each series plays a role in shaping our troops for the next year’s T20 World Cup and a 50-over championship at home in 2027. Touring Australia is never easy.
The first two T20i series will be played on 10 and 12 August at Marra Stadium in Darwin, while the last match is set at 16 August at the Cazalys stadium in Cairns.
Cairns will also host the opening ODI on Tuesday, August 19, before the series moves to a large barrier reef arena in Mackay for the remaining two matches of 22 and 24 August.
