
The Anilkuar Ravendran family, a 52 -year -old security officer from Pathiyoor in Alappuzha, who disappeared after the cargo ship sank in the Red Sea after attacking the Yemeni rebuse rebels, can finally strengthen relief. Anilkumar contacted his family and informed them that he is currently under the control of the Yemeni government forces.
His family said he first contacted them in the first hours of Friday and again on Friday evening. He told them that he was initially rescued by a fishing boat and later handed over the coast guard Yemen. Efforts to bring it back to Kerala are taking place with the help of the Indian embassy in Saudi Arabia, the family added.
The vessel, the MV eternity C, the Liberian cargo ship, was on its way to the Israeli port of Eilat when it got under the attack. At that time, the ship was aboard 25 crew, including nationals from India, Philippines, Russia and Greece. Four crew members were killed in the attack. Ten others were rescued, including another keria identified as Augustine of Parasala, Thiruvananthapuram.
