
Andhra Pradesh Information and Public Relations Minister Kolusu Parthasarathi on Friday launched a series of development works at Nuzvid District High School (Girls) and High School Plus where he attended the Mega Parents-Teachers 3.0 program as the chief guest.
He inaugurated the girls’ library, chemistry, biology and science laboratories, playground and other facilities built at a cost of ₹ 97.40 lakh under PYMS HRI funds and unveiled plaques.
Addressing the gathering, the minister highlighted the key role of youth in national development and recalled that 67.5 million students received education support worth ₹10,000 crore under the Salute to Mothers initiative last year.
He said that the Mega Parents-Teachers Meets provide a solid foundation for the bright future of the students and reiterated that education should remain non-political. He stressed the need to inculcate moral values and respect in women from an early age, discourage child marriage and ensure that teachers focus on academics, sports and ethics.
Announcing that under the Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan initiative, student-friendly kits will be distributed to students of classes 1 to 12, the minister noted that 16,347 teachers have been recruited to strengthen the education system across the state.
Sub-Collector Bollipalli Vinutha, DYO PS Sudhakar, Tahsildar G. Badru, municipal officials, school principals, teachers, parents, coalition leaders and local dignitaries were present.
