
In the main step towards building a sustainable and energy future, the central government set an ambitious goal by 2030 by an ambitious goal of reducing the country’s energy consumption by 89 million tonnes of oil equivalent (MTOE).
The Minister of Shripad NAIK stressed that its achievement requires joint efforts of all parties involved, especially the state -intended agencies (SDA) of proactive states such as Andhra Pradesh, Keral, Karnataka, Telangana, Rajasthan, Haryan, Maharashtra, Punjab, Pudjab.
The government placed significant emphasis on sustainable cooling and acknowledged it as a critical lever to solve the rapidly growing demand for cooling.
In order to ensure that this demand is sustainable, the Energy Efficiency Authority (Bee) introduced two land regulations, specifically for energy savings and the Sustainable Building Act (ECSBC) for commercial buildings and ecological Samhita (ENS) for residential buildings.
SDA is encouraged to accept these codes to build infrastructure resistant to climate.
Household appliances, such as air conditioning, ceiling fans and refrigerators, were ensured under the guidance of mandatory standards and the indication program to be used only by energy -efficient products, helping to reduce the overall electricity consumption.
