Santosh Minister Lad distributed smart cards for workers from an unorganized sector in Chamarajanagar and Mysur on Wednesday and spoke of the government’s commitment to keep their interest and well -being.
In Chamarajanagar, the Minister also solemnly opened the housing complex Shramika and addressed workers for the event together organized by Karnataka Building and Building Staff, the State Council for Social Security, Department of Transport, District Administration and Zilla Panchayat.
The Minister stated that 91% of the country’s workers were in an unorganized sector and the government formulated several schemes to support their livelihoods and provided social security, such as the Karnataka (Social Security and Welfare) Act, the Weffare Act (Weffare) Act.
Mr. Lad said that smart cards were issued to make government benefits more accessible to unorganized workers, and invited them to be aware of social care programs that have started for their benefit.
He said that housing complexes are designed in all districts for migrant workers and temporary housing units were opened in 10 districts, with the ability to hold 7,000 individuals, full of all basic devices.
The state government, under the main Minister Siddaramaiah, is committed to well -being organized and unorganized workers, the minister added.
He also touched the government’s warranty schemes and said it helped those of the economically weaker section and people in the unorganized sector.

The Minister later distributed intelligent cards to workers from an unorganized sector in Mysuro and participated in the program that took place to create awareness of various government systems for their well -being.
