
Minister Karnataka Priyank Kharge on Saturday questioned the Ministry for External Affairs (MEA) to grant them permission to visit the US when the application for the same rejected earlier.
In a detailed paper on X, Kharge said that the ministry had taken “U-rot” and was looking for an explanation for that.
Minister Karnataka stressed that he was looking for permission for his American travel to represent the Karnataka government between 14 and 27 June 15 on May 15 at two main global forums and organize 25 official meetings with the best companies, universities and institutions for cooperation and investment playground.
He explained that the request for the Minister and his delegation was filed on May 15, which was later rejected on 4 June.
“Application without any reason”
The Minister stated that his application was rejected for no reason or official explanation. He also said that the application of the chairman of Keonics, which was submitted on May 12, was clarified on 14 May.
Minister Karnataka said that 19th June dealt with a press conference on the matter and explained chronology and raised concerns about possible political interference.
After the MEA decision to grant Kharge to travel to the US, he asked why his request was rejected in the first instance. Kharge asked if Mea canceled her previous order for any kind of liability after the matter became the “public”.
He also stated that Mea issued a certificate “without objection” of 19 June.
Kharge raises questions
