The mining industry stopped in the state due to a difficult situation created by the coalition government, said the leader of the Congress Party YSR (YSRCP) and Tirupati MP Maddila Gururoorty and at a press conference in Monday’s Nellore.
“Since coalition parties want to do mining themselves, they threaten the owners down, although they have all authorities. This has led to stopping mining operations and thousands of people depending on the mining industry,” he said.
“This influenced the flow of foreign currencies to the country through exports to other countries and the income to the state also decreased. Compared to the past, state tax revenues have almost stopped,” Tirupati said.
He also talked about illegal cases of mining, which were given to the leaders of YSRCP in the districts of Nellore and Tirupati. “False cases have been registered against former Minister Kakani Govardhan Reddy, who talks about the problems of people in the district. Although false cases have been framed against YSRCC leaders, we have faith in the court system.
“It is ridiculous that the Alliance leaders claim that anyone is doing illegal mining in Nellore and Tirupati districts belongs to YSRCP. It is also unfair to place YSRCP MLC Meriga Muralidhar, who announced that he would go to illegal mining, under domestic arrest,” said Mr. Gurumoorty.
