The duration of maximum temperature has been steadily increasing in Bengaluru, which in turn has led to an increase in minimum temperature by two to three degrees Celsius.
Speaking at a media seminar titled ‘Extreme heat and its impact on Bengaluru’, Karnataka Natural Disaster Monitoring Center (KSNDMC) Director MS Divakara said that the duration of the maximum temperature is increasing by seven hours every day, resulting in an increase of two to three degrees Celsius in the minimum temperature.
