The highly anticipated Metro Tumacur project is close to reality, said Minister of the Interior G. Parameshware on Monday.
He recalled that in the budget 2024–25, the main Minister Siddaramaiah announced a feasibility study for expanding the metro railway line from Madavary to Tumacur.
“The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) was entrusted with the task and subsequently called for a selection procedure of 3 ₹ Crore for the study. The work was selected in Hyderabad and now submitted its report to the government,” he said.
Dr. Parameshware said that the government has accepted the report and ordered the BMRCL to prepare a detailed report on the project (DPR) according to the model of the public and private sector (PPP).
“In the first phase, it is estimated that the project costs 20 649 GBP Crore, with several private companies already expressing interest. To make it easier, the government issued an order of 25 September, which ordered BMRCL to prepare DPR again.
