The inauguration of the reconstructed Aristo Road changed on Wednesday after the deputy mayor of ML Rosa continued with the office despite the Mayor of MK Varghes and the key members of the ruling LDF Council.
Although the LDF management, including the chairman of the mayor and the Permanent Committee of Varghes Kandamculata, was delayed, the mayor’s representative delivered the inauguration address and symbolically opened the newly completed road.
In her speech, Mrs. Rosa affected the politicization of development work and stated that infrastructure projects should not become battlefields for party policy. Councilor Leela Varghese and Sindu attributed Anto Chacko for their sincere efforts to become Aristo Road, and noted that several protests were carried out inside and outside the Council to push through the project. She also claimed that the mayor’s office was managed by temporary staff.
Rajan J. Pallan’s leader accused LDF of the deliberate attempt at the kidnapping of inauguration and turned it into an event only for LDF, and the divine efforts of other councilors. He claimed that Mrs. Varghese and Mrs. Chack had informed the mayor of the inauguration schedule and officially handed over the announcement of the event in their chamber.
