
The Maoist couple, who worked underground mostly in the Dandakaranya forest region for more than three decades, carried 25 lakh reward on Tuesday.
The duo comes from the former Adilabad district in Telangana.
They were identified as atram Lachanna aka Gopanna, 65, a member of a special committee forbidden organization and responsible for the technical team of the division, North Bastar and Chowdury Akubhai alias, 55, member of the division committee, member of the division committee, member of the division committee.
Lachnanna, a native of Parapelli Village in Mancherial District, joined the CPI (ML) People’s War Group (PWG) in 1983 and initially worked in Chennur Dalam in the former compound district of Adilabad. Later he was promoted in 1988 as a member of the Regional Committee and worked as a deputy commander Sirpur PWG Dalam. In 1989 he married Ankubhai, a member of PWG Dalam. In 1995, the couple was transferred to the technical department and sent to the city area for work, the police said.
Lachanna has a total of 35 cases in different Telangana districts. Ankubhai, which comes from the village of Agaraguda in the Kumram Bhe Asifabad district, joined PWG in 1988. In the district of Kumram Bhe Asifabad has 14 cases.
The police said that the couple had left the forbidden clothes and returned to the mainstream to lead peace life with their family members by using the state government measures to give up the Maoists.
