
The Mananchira-Malaparamba section of the Mananchira-Vellimadukunnu road is expected to be ready by January 2026, PA Public Works Minister Mohamed Riyas said.
At a road construction review meeting presided over by District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh on Monday (December 22, 2025), he said technical issues with Kerala Water Authority (KWA) and Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) would be resolved soon.
The meeting decided to speed up the transfer of KWA pipelines and the construction of cross canals. Drainage work would be completed by the end of December, asphalting could be done in the first week of January. The diversion of traffic will be implemented these days after consultation with the police, the minister said.
The meeting was attended by MLA Thottathil Raveendran, Special Deputy Collector Shamin Sebastian, Chairman of Uralungal Labor Cooperative Rameshan Paleri, officials of Public Works Department, KWA and KSEB, besides representatives of the contracting company.
