The man argued that turcure, popular food for the fingers of Pepsico India, contains “very different ingredients” in two cities. He claimed that in Delhi he uses turmeric “dangerous” Palmolein (palm oil), while the package from Bengalur is not.
Palmolein is one of the cheapest, the most processed oils associated with health risks, emphasized.
In a viral LinkedIn post, Vedant Khanduja, a former trader in Ola Electric, said: “The same turnet. Two cities. Two very different ingredients. Delhiites, you can consume something dangerous.”
Khanduja shared that he had bought turmeric in both cities, just to find that the pack he bought in Bengalur had no Palmolein, but he in Delhi did. “I read the Turcure brand, not” Palmolein “. I bought back in Delhi again. This time Palmolein was right on the pack,” he wrote.

He gained an alleged trend and asked, “If Bangalore gets a” better “version of turmeric, why not Delhi? Why not everywhere? ” He added that it is not just a snack, but “about justice, transparency and holding of brands responsible”.
Vedant Khanduja praised the revival of Himatsingka, aka influencing Food Pharmer’s hashtag Labelpadhegaindia, and said that his incident with turcure “proves that the back of the pack tells the truth while the queue sells immediate pleasure.”
How did Pepsico react?
After Vedant Khanduja challenged the unjust practice of the brand, Pepsico India allegedly approached him to clarify that Palmolein was removed from all turmeric batches made after August.
Therefore, he said that the difference he observed was probably caused by older stocks on the market.

This is how Netizens reacted:
Social media users have been amazed by this difference and stated that manufacturers must be responsible.
“Very true, vedant! It’s a serious problem for which we have to make manufacturers responsible for responsibility,” the user said.
“Such important observations, vedant. Every consumer deserves the same quality and justice,” he added.
“People in Delhi can survive toxic air … I doubt if it will be justified by oil that is not Palmolein,” the user joked.
However, the user suggested that this could be related to the brand. “Pepsico sells turmeric under the brand.”
“1. Turcure: Cheaper option available in local grocery stores, etc. (what you could buy in Delhi)
2. LOUR TURKURE: MRP is usually 20% higher than the counterpart. For premium retailers/high traffic such as metro/railway stations, Mall Kiosk, etc., ”he stressed.

Meanwhile, the user claimed that he experienced the same with another brand, “I saw the difference in the real juice components in what is written on the product advertising in the online application and what we get.”
Another user suggested that it is best to switch to an alternative snack. “I moved to any snack with palm oil and Maida snacks. There are a lot of them, just a little more expensive. If we, as consumers, stop consuming them, they stop selling them.”
