Police on Saturday, June 14) arrested a 50 -year -old man who allegedly installed a phone phone in accommodation of women in Kuttiyadi in the Kozhikode district. The accused, identified as Mohammed Aslam, was taken into custody on Friday, June 13.
He was accused of sections 77 (punishment for voyeurism) and 79 (punishment for a word, gesture, or an act that was intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit. The relevant parts of the Information Technology Act were also induced, the police said.
According to police sources, a man who operated a medical laboratory in Kuttiyadi was caught in red after a woman saw him near the toilet and alerted the inhabitants. Some women staying in a rented facility reportedly worked in a medical laboratory suspect. Since then they have been moved to another building.
