
A 29 -year -old man was arrested for alleged bad behavior with a woman aboard a state bus in Thrissur, police said on Saturday.
The defendant Savad, a native of Vadakara in neighboring Kozhikode, was taken into custody on Friday from Tamil and his arrest was recorded, the Eastern police said.
Savad was arrested and imprisoned in a similar case two years ago for alleged flicker and poorly conduct of the passenger aboard a moving bus in the district of Ernakulam.
Fresh incident happened on June 14th on board the bus with Kerala State Road Conporation (KSRTC) bound to Malappuram.
The police said that, according to a woman’s complaint, the accused touched her sexual intensity and behaved in an inappropriate way. When she protested, Savad climbed the bus in the middle of the road and escaped.
Later, the victim filed a complaint against the Eastern police, who launched a man hunter to trace him.
The arrest was recorded under various parts of BNS, including section 75 (sexual harassment), the police added.
In an earlier incident, Savad was assigned to the All Keral Men’s Association reception when he was released on a bail that invited extensive criticism two years ago.
