The 32 -year -old man was arrested for attempting to murder his wife by attacking a cement brick near a private hospital in Gachibowli on the night of April 1. The case came to light after the video attack on social media platforms became a virus.
The inhabitants, who witnessed the attack, filed a complaint to the police next morning.
According to the police, the witness saw a man trying to throw cement bricks on a woman near a high voltage line in Colony Raghanendra around 22:00 1 April. When he tried to intervene, the accused allegedly turned to him and forced him to flee and seek help. “Shabana, 22, was released from the hospital after the treatment of gynecological problems. It remains unconscious and in a critical condition,” the police said.
Basharath, designer of the interior residence in Aditya Nagar, Miyapur, was arrested on April 2 at 21:15 and produced the next day in court. Against him, the case pursuant to Section 109 (1) Bharatiya nyaya Sanhita, 2023, was registered.
