The person who was reportedly attacked on Wednesday succumbed to a private hospital in Shivamogg on Thursday.
The police identified the deceased as Janarhan, 26 years, the inhabitants of Bannikod in Shivamogg. He worked at a hotel near Yard in the city. One of his relatives allegedly attacked him on his workplace on Wednesday, after which he was hurried to a private hospital.
The accused, identified as Hanumanth, allegedly attacked Janardhan with deadly weapons. The police registered the case and arrested the accused.
