Santhosh, 45, accused in attempting to murder, was deadly attacked in his Karungapally home early Thursday morning.
A four -member gang broke around around 2:30 in his residence, plunged explosives and broke the door of the house before the entrance. Santhosh, who was on bail, suffered serious leg and shoulder injuries and died in the hospital.
After the attack on Santhosh, the same gang reportedly traveled to Vavvakava in Oachira and seriously injured another man Aneer, who is now hospitalized in Alappuzha Government Medical College Hospital.
Santhosh’s family announced his previous attempts at his life and said that the masked attackers attacked and killed him despite the plea of their mother to stop. Police are investigating the incident and suspect gang rivals as a motive.
