Main Minister Siddaramaiah set a goal for the Ministry of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) to achieve 75% of the results of SSLC tests without granting Grace Marks.
At the ceremonial opening at the Karnataka (KPS), Adugodi, DSel on Thursday, the main minister again expressed his displeasure over the Ministry, awarded by Grace Marks during the results of the SSLC 2024.
During his speech, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that the SSLC 2024 results were increased by providing 20%grace signs, while the Minister of School Education and Literacy Madhu Bangarappa told him that grace was 10%.
He said that in the SSLC 2026 tests, the total number of students who would score 100% in all subjections would achieve one lakh. “This year, 40 students secured 625 out of 625. I want this number to increase to one lakh next year,” he added.
Sharing details of facilities provided at government schools and ensuring improvement in quality that will be at the same level as private, Mr. Siddaramaiah asked parents to enroll their department in government schools.
He emphasized the importance of maternal language and regional language and said: “Knowledge and language are not related and we cannot say that those who studied at government schools are not intelligent. I am an example of a government school product; today I am the main minister for the second time.”
