On Wednesday, the main industrial disaster was turned away after the officials responded quickly and involved a chemical leak from the tanker in Andra Paper Limited in Rajahendram City. The chemical that escaped was hydrogen peroxide, which is used in whitening on the recycling unit of the mill.
After alerting the leak of the district collector P. Pramanthi immediately sent the team to connect the leak and dilute spilled chemicals. At the time of the incident, the mill was functional.
Deputy Inspector of Factory K. Krishn Murty confirmed the escape told Hindu; “The hydrogen peroxide escaped from the tanker, which arrived in the paper mill from Gujarat 30. June and carried 26.8 tons of chemicals. On Wednesday, hydrogen peroxide began to leak from the tank, allegedly after being contaminated inside the tank.” Before the escape, the tanker was parked on the road for two days.
Mr. Krishna Murty added; “To avoid any undesirable incident, the entire chemical compound was released into the drainage system of the paper mill.” He assured he would have no impact on the air or groundwater.
The officials of the management by the R. Krishna Naik served the announcement of the administration of the Andhra Paper Mill and the supplier of the chemical compound. Notifications are looking for details for further incident investigation.
