The Police head Constable attached to the Kariyalur Police Station in the district was arrested on Monday under the protection of children from sexual crimes (POŠO) for alleged sexual harassment of a 17 -year -old girl.
The police said the action was taken on the basis of a complaint filed by the victim with Kallakurichi All Women Police Station.
The police convened Constable Prarabh to ask. During the probe it became clear that the complaint against the constable was true. Against him, the case was registered under various parts of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit and Pocso Act. He was later arrested.
