The head of the Pakistani army Asim Munir, in a somewhat controversial commentary, dubbed Kashmir as a “jugular vein” in Islamabad and said that Pakistan would not “forget” him. The head of the Pakistani army addressed on Wednesday an overseas Pakistani Convention in Islamabad, where he also said, “We are different from the Hindes” and defended the theory of two nations.
The Convention on Overseas Pakistani took place when their remittance reached a record $ 4.1 billion in March, thus reducing the pressure on the payment balance.
On Kashmir
Pakistani Chief of the Army Staff, General Asim Munir, said Kashmir remains a Pakistani “jugular vein” – status, claiming to last because Islamabad will never give up his claim or forgetting the region.
The dispute over Kashmir between India and Pakistan dates back to the division of the British India from 1947, when the princely state Jamm and Kashmir was available to choose to one country.
Maharaja initially sought independence, but proceeded to India after the invasion of Pakistan’s tribal forces and triggered the first Indo-Pakistani war.
Since then, Kashmir has remained a point of ignition, with multiple wars, a ceasefire agreement and continuing violence along the inspection.
About the theory of two nations
General Munir also firmly prevented the theory of two nations, an ideological basis for division in 1947 and claimed that India and Pakistan were fundamentally different nations in each respect.
“… our ancestors thought we were different from hindas in all possible aspects of life,” Munir said.
“Our religion is different, our customs are different, our traditions are different, our thoughts are different, our ambitions are different. This is where the basis of the theory of two nations was laid. We are two nations, we are not one nation,” Munir said.
He said that the Earth people must not forget that they belong to “excellent ideology and culture”.
In particular, the theory of two nations failed in 1971, when Bangladesh gained independence from Pakistan.
In Balochistan
In Balochistan Asim Munir said that Pakistani enemies were wrong in that a handful of terrorists could dictate the fate of the country.
“From these terrorists, we will be defeated very soon … You think these 1500 terrorists belonging to blaf, BLF and BRA, etc. can take away the balocistan from us …” Munir asked.
“Pakistani enemies think that a handful of terrorists can decide on the fate of Pakistan? … Neither ten generations of terrorists cannot harm balocistan and Pakistan.”
He added that the Balochistan bordering on Iran and Afghanistan is vital to the future of Pakistan and the symbol of national pride.
