Goddess Maha Lakshmi temples in Vizianagaram witnessed a huge rush of devotees on the third Thursday of the auspicious Margasiram, which is the ninth month of the Hindu lunar calendar.
Special arrangements for Ksheerabhisekham, Kumkum puja and other rituals were made at Sri Kanaka Mahalakshmi in the same premises by Sri Abhayanjaneya Swamy temple administrator VK Gayatri Sarma.
He said, “The number of devotees increased on the third Thursday, which also coincided with Pournami, the full moon day.” Maha Lakshmi Temple at Jagannath Swamy Temple and Astalakshmi Sametha Ishwarya Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Ayyannapeta also witnessed a large turnout of devotees on the day.
