The Madras High Court awarded the provisional authorities limiting the authorities to release the results of the Neet-AG-2025 after the bench heard a lawsuit who was affected by the CHENNAI investigative center, said PTI.
Justice justice in Lakshminarayanan granted a temporary stay on Friday and postponed the matter until 2 June for another hearing.
The students said that, as a result of a storm and a severe collision, there was a power outage of Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Crpf-Avadi, Chennai, which was their test center, from approximately 15:00 to 16:15 at the date of the exam, 4 May 2025.
13 students who submitted the honorary statement also claimed that there were no backup devices such as generators or inverters.
“We were forced to write a test under poor lighting conditions and rainwater entered the investigative hall and caused further disturbances when we were asked to move from the assigned chairs,” they submitted.
They added that the investigation authorities did not provide the disabled students for no time despite the disturbance, so the petitioners were unable to fully complete the exam.
What did the students claim in the petition?
In the petition, the students claimed that they were subjected to grossly uneven test conditions compared to candidates in other centers, which violates Article 14 of the Constitution. They also claimed that rights under Article 21 (life and freedom protection) were violated.
“The competition at national level, such as Neet, must ensure equal conditions that have been rejected by the petitioners.”
The report added that the respondents did not recognize or dealt with the real complaints of the petitioners, despite the early representation of 4 May. Respondents include the Union’s government, the National Medical Commission and the National Test Agency that carries out the Neet.
